Alexa Squires, LAC

Child, Teen & Adult, Families, & Couples Therapist in Bentonville, AR

A place where you can feel accepted, understood, and supported.

Alexa is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who believes therapy should be a place where you can show up exactly as you are. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, Alexa provides a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Her approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered, allowing each client to move at their own pace while developing practical tools for lasting growth and healing.

LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy

Alexa is passionate about working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and is committed to creating a safe, affirming environment where clients can feel comfortable being their authentic selves.

She enjoys supporting individuals and couples through life's challenges, whether they're exploring identity, navigating relationships, managing anxiety, or working toward greater self-acceptance. Alexa believes every person deserves a therapist who values them for exactly who they are.

Helping Children Heal Through Play

Alexa has a special passion for working with children and is currently pursuing advanced training in child-centered play therapy.

Children often communicate through play long before they can fully express their emotions with words. Through play therapy, Alexa helps children process big feelings, navigate life transitions, develop healthy coping skills, and build confidence in a way that feels natural and developmentally appropriate.

She enjoys partnering with families to help children overcome emotional, behavioral, and social challenges while creating a safe space where they can grow and thrive.

A Collaborative Approach to Therapy

Alexa earned her Master's degree from Malone University and completed her clinical internship working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples.

She primarily utilizes Person-Centered Therapy, believing that every client is the expert on their own life. Rather than directing the counseling process, Alexa walks alongside her clients by providing encouragement, insight, and practical tools that help them reach their goals and create meaningful change.

Her goal is to help clients feel more confident, resilient, and connected—to themselves and to the people who matter most.

When she's away from the office, Alexa enjoys watching movies, spending time with friends, and going to concerts.

Affordable Counseling for the Community

Alexa believes quality mental health care should be accessible. She currently offers $35 self-pay counseling sessions for individuals who do not plan to use insurance.

Reduced-rate counseling may be a great option if you:

  • Do not have health insurance.

  • Have a high deductible.

  • Have insurance that Wellness & Courage does not accept.

  • Prefer the privacy and flexibility of self-pay therapy.

Alexa is committed to making compassionate, high-quality counseling available to those who need it most.
