I HAVE A PASSION FOR HELPING CHILDREN (15 MONTHS TO 4 YEARS OLD) AND ADULTS WORK THROUGH MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, AND PHYSICAL PAIN. SOME OF THESE AREAS MAY INCLUDE TRAUMA, GRIEF, ANXIETY, CHRONIC PAIN, DEPRESSION, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, INFERTILITY, POSTPARTUM ISSUES, AND ANGER MANAGEMENT.IF YOU ARE OPEN TO THE PROCESS I WOULD LOVE TO HELP.”

Maryam was born in South Carolina but her family moved to Northwest Arkansas when she was one and she’s still here with her husband and two babies! She loves to travel and has been lucky enough to see many lovely places but this has always felt like home for her. She went to Hendrix College and got her BA in Psychology and after graduation started working in a therapeutic day treatment program for elementary kids. While working she attended the University of Arkansas and earned her MA in Counseling. she has experience using cognitive behavioral techniques, person-centered therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness/meditation. She uses Child-Parent Psychotherapy along with play therapy techniques to help children and families who have been victims of abuse or neglect.
