Encouraging and Empathetic Approach

Kaelyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has worked with children, adults, and families. She looks forward to helping you with whatever problem you may be experiencing, but has particular interest in anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem building, women’s issues, and family / parenting issues. Using an encouraging, strengths-based approach, Kaelyn welcomes you wherever you are on your journey and values your willingness to give therapy a chance!

Pursuing Purpose and Change

Following a ten-year career in the corporate world, Kaelyn found herself drawn to a new path that would help her make a difference in the lives of others. She then decided to pursue a career as a therapist and finds great meaning in guiding others towards a brighter future. In keeping with these values, Kaelyn encourages therapeutic approaches that help clients find purpose and deeper satisfaction in their own lives.

While maintaining an empathetic, calm, and encouraging environment, Kaelyn believes in promoting change and challenging clients to examine the beliefs and actions that may have been holding them back. Working to identify unhelpful patterns can be uncomfortable but Kaelyn provides a nonjudgmental space to explore these, and she strongly believes in the power of the individual to make changes, no matter their age or stage of life.

Kaelyn’s preferred therapeutic approaches include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She uses these while also keeping the client’s unique strengths and needs in mind. By giving therapy a try, Kaelyn hopes you will learn greater emotional regulation, increased psychological flexibility, healthier relationships, and more intentional patterns of behavior through her practice.
