Therapy with Humor and a Heart

Jennifer Gray is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) and Clinical Manager at Wellness & Courage Counseling Services. She brings compassion and clinical expertise to her work, supporting individuals, couples, and families in Northwest Arkansas. You can expect a mix of evidence-based approaches, creativity, and humor in sessions with her as she strives to make therapy a space where you feel understood and challenged in ways that spark real change. Jennifer integrates EMDR, polyvagal theory, self-compassion techniques, and a passion for reducing the effects of traumatic experiences into each therapy session. Clients describe her as authentic, compassionate, and empowering, someone who never shies away from the depth of human struggle.

Trauma Therapy Through EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is a form of psychotherapy that enables people to heal from physical symptoms and emotional distress resulting from both acute and complex trauma. EMDR therapy allows the mind to heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma but at a faster rate than traditional psychotherapy. Jennifer uses EMDR to help clients determine how past events impact current functioning and to create a treatment plan uniquely tailored to their needs and goals for healing.

Healing and Connection

Jennifer believes relationships are integral to how people understand themselves and their lives and are often where negative beliefs about the self begin to develop. In addition to her training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2), Jennifer uses empathetic listening and a down-to-earth presence that allows clients to explore difficult truths while also finding moments of meaningful connection and motivation to move forward in relationships in healthier and more effective ways.

Outside of Sessions

Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, four sisters, and large family. On days off she likes creating art, making jewelry, and hosting get-togethers for friends and family. She prioritizes life-long learning and is always seeking deeper knowledge in mental health and human behavior. She also loves riding her bike, seeing live music, and watching documentaries.
